	Limited Edition Giclee Reproductions Giclee refers to a new method of creating limited edition prints. After the original is scanned by a high-end drum scanner, special software is used to create a digitized image which is output to an iris printer. The word giclee is French and means to spurt or squirt. However, the spray is more like a mist, each droplet being the size of a red blood cell.
